Alpha Caspian, the Alpha of Bloodveil Pack, had finally found his mate. This heralded a call for celebration, because Alpha Caspian had gone beyond the normal age bracket where it was generally accepted that a werewolf should find their fated mate. While others had been busy finding their mates, Alpha Caspian had had to focus on rebuilding his pack from the edge of ruin.

This was because when he was around the age of five, the werewolf kingdoms witnessed an incessant rogue war that lasted for many years. The Bloodveil pack had been hit the most, because they were reputably wealthy in diamonds, gold and every other natural resources. When the war threatened to destroy all that they were, the Alpha and Luna had to sacrifice themselves.

They were Alpha Caspian and Marina Brooks’ parents and their action restored a long lasting peace when it brought an absolute end to the rogue nation. But what was left in its wake were rubles and desolation. Because Caspian was still too young for his first shift, he became the responsibility of his sister, Marina. She was about 15 at the time and the new emergency Alpha.

Marina singlehandedly rebuilt Bloodveil. To restore it to its former glory, she’d had to sell the family helium, which was supposed to be carried by the neck of every succeeding Luna from generation to generation. This occurrence held the promise of a change in status.

Because of this, it became a desperate desire that nothing should come between the Alpha and their daughter. This was why Mrs. Hale decided to keep a close watch on the Alpha himself and would follow his trail to the airport, where she caught him cheating on his mate on their Luna coronation morning. Finding out that the mistress was pregnant was like adding fuel to the fire.
