The Start of the Arranged Marriage

That deal involved the peace and the future of the Scuderies, the largest criminal organization in Chicago that currently needed a systematic boost. Having created a conflict with a certain Bratva, they aimed to strengthen their forces with the help of the Vitiellos. 

Like the Scuderis, the Vitiellos also owned the top spot as the New York’s most feared mafia group. They were much bigger, much more influential, and were insanely powerful than of the groups out there. Part of its glory came from Luca’s reputation and his long history of cruelty. 

Upon hearing his name as her groom, Aria couldn’t be more terrified of her future. To be born as a Scuderi already brought a different kind of despair. But to know she was meant to live as Vitiello? That would be an instant ride to hell! 

As much as she wanted a way out, she couldn’t made her move as her father immediately involved Gianna, her youngest sister. She wasn’t yet that selfish to ignore the threat on Gianna’s life. If holding her plan temporarily meant saving, then so be it. 

And so, the dreadful path towards an arrange marriage opened. Aria walked in with so much uncertainty, afraid for her life, and doubtful if Luca would ever spare her once she made her stand.

Soon as the wedding sealed their fates, Aria began to treat her life as a glass waiting to be shattered as Luca held it carelessly. To avoid herself from perishing, she risked everything to trust him and the remaining shed of morality he has.

He didn’t only save her from getting decapitated that night, but he also made her realized one burning truth. That he was more than just a monster the public painted him to be. He was a calculated, honorable man who stood by his principles, even if it opposed the rules of the Familia.
