The Beginning of a Heated Rivalry and a Romance You Won’t Forget

Worse, Donovan saw its function and used it against him. His schemes began when he ordered Kaden to change his budget proposal. Instead of lending it to the school’s welfare, Donovan wanted it to fall on their team.

Knowing the effects of the previous student budget on the school, Kaden defied his unrealistic wishes. Not only because it was selfish but changing it meant he’d endanger his chance at Harvard. Having a crush on Donovan didn’t include lowering down his principles for him.

But a simple ‘no’ meant nothing for Donovan. He continued threatening him. As anyone would have it, Kaden didn’t ignore his warning and made the most out of the opportunity to fight back. He messed up the uniform of his football team and poured multiple paint on them.

That harmless, simple prank turned into the event that caused the plot to thicken. In response to his actions, Donovan wound up injured in the game. Kaden got almost expelled if Donovan didn’t intervene to volunteer for his punishment.

You’ve guessed what it was about and yes, Donovan asked Kaden to be his personal ‘Waterboy’. He had the right reasons to disagree but his future they were talking about. Swallowing his pride, he consented and from then on, their lives were never the same.

They went from being rivals into subjects of an unchecked situationship. As they navigated through the demands of their future and their growing attachment, they must make amends to themselves soon.

Kaden must accept that love and dreams can coexist while Donovan must embrace his identity. Otherwise, the bond they created will forever be something they’d regret.

Leading him to accept himself, little by little, and think nothing was wrong if you love yourself. He loved Donovan but he couldn’t act on his passion if he, himself couldn’t find himself indulging in that.

With such an imbalance keeping them apart, Kaden and Donovan’s bond remained suspended between what they felt and what they chose to believe in. They must make a choice soon as time isn’t moving tenderly nor is it halting everything for their decision.
