Isolde Laurence has spent her entire life being the good daughter her parents can proudly show off. Her world revolves around her studies, the Catholic Church, and following the expectations placed on her. She lives like a prized puppet, never really having the power to make her own decisions.

It wouldn’t have mattered. Her father, with his business and cult-minded followers, could support and spoil her for as long as he deems her worthy of investment. But her father just had to mess with someone he never stood a chance with.

To pacify the other party, he took his investment (his daughter) and promised to marry her to Mark Trevena, DC’s dangerous and notoriously sadistic dom.

Isolde has already heard plenty of rumors about Mark, and none of them exactly make him sound like ideal husband material. Naturally, she refuses the arrangement at first. Unfortunately, her opinion doesn’t seem to be particularly important to Father Mortimer.
