What’s intriguing and appealing altogether about this novel is the fact that we get two types of characters.

On the one hand, there’s Margaret and Hugo. She stands all alone in a room full of hyenas ready to tear her apart.

On the other hand, there’s Chloe and everyone who attends the wedding. They take Chloe’s side, picking on Margaret and even hurting her. They act as one, syncing their vicious actions. It’s not something I remember reading in any other drama novel.

So, yes, this novel is different, it’s fresh, it’s enticing and it keeps you invested into the story. I can’t tell you how many times I found myself rooting for Hugo to show up already and get back at his fiancée and every other guest.

When he finally arrived and Margaret was finally in his arms, I knew that the best part of the book was about to begin. Hugo’s revenge and Margaret’s comeback.
