Cornell got into an accident that cost him his legs. Her ex-girlfriend, heiress to the Wilson Company, broke up with him and ran off abroad. Only Audrey stood by his side during his hardship and endured his mother’s mistreatment.

She worked at a food bank while looking after Cornell. Her meager salary all went to her husband’s treatment. Cornell’s family was out of money due to debts, and the company was declining. To avoid bankruptcy, Audrey used her connection and power to pull in investors.
