Even though it cuts across gender, every experienced individual could testify to the fact that there are more affected men than women. This is made more terrible by the fact that men can be strong willed and refuse to heal.

This was the case for Enzo Quinn of I’m Done Being a Yes-Man movie. How does a man begin to recover from the catastrophic heartbreak, such as he experienced in the hands of Stella Hall? From being a yes-man to all her demands, to answering for a crime she committed, to going to prison in her place and to losing his life to an assassin who confessed to getting paid by her.

Part 1: I’m Done Being a Yes-Man Plot Summary

The Quinn family of Chicago were reputed the most influential people of the state, as Mr. Quinn ran one of the largest oil businesses in the country. He’d married his wife young but giving birth had come as a challenge. Around when they were almost giving up the hopes for such blessings, the miracle that Enzo became in their lives happened.

Because he was getting old, Mr. Quinn had decided to hire a personal chauffeur. And Mr. Hall had been the lucky qualified driver to get the job. He was about 20yrs younger than Mr. Quinn, but the men had bonded and became something Mr. Quinn considered as friends. About 6 months into the job he allocated him a section in the servant’s quarters of the Quinn estate…

And after one year working as the family chauffeur, Mr. Hall got married and started living with his family there. When Enzo was about a year old, Stella Hall, Mr. Hall’s daughter was born. And because they were the same age range, the kids automatically became friends. It didn’t help that Enzo was excessively pampered and shielded, which streamlined his perspective.

But Mr. Hall and his family envied the Quinn family. The Quinn estate was large, there were swimming pools, spacious gardens and quite a good collection of cars, boats, land and what not. Mr. Hall was a man who’d abandoned his dreams and chosen the easy way in life. He came up with the idea that there was a way he could transfer the Quinn fortune to himself and his family.

The plan was to plant Stella, successfully in Enzo’s life and through her gain more than his salary and other incentives. And should she become his wife any day, get him to sign over important properties and everything the family owned. Because of this, they raised Stella to be narcissistic towards the ever naive Enzo. And because he was unexposed, he was vulnerable.

Stella was the only woman he’d ever admired, liked or ever saw in his life. And as they grew up together, she continued to blossom into the irresistible kind. She was exceptionally pretty, with lush, bouncy blonde hair. He was so into her that he would do anything to be in her good grace. Yet Stella was wicked enough to have him murdered. But what happened after he was reborn?

Part 2: Captivating Highlights Of I’m Done Being a Yes-Man

I’m Done Being a Yes-Man Episode 3:

Enzo wasn’t the type to enjoy parties, he was introverted and the kind of rich kids that preferred peace and quiet. He was also a nerd which intensified his being undesirable to high school ladies. But Stella was dating other men and for whatever reasons, Enzo refused to see it for what it was. Her boyfriend was a member of the school’s football team and they’d won today.

Therefore, the team had decided to have a party that evening to celebrate. And because Stella needed to look good in the company of her boyfriend, she requested Enzo’s car. Enzo had to tag along to ensure its safe return, because it was a luxury car. On the way heading back, Stella was driving, drinking and listening to a loud music with her boyfriend, when she killed a man.

I’m Done Being a Yes-Man Episode 5:

The car was registered to the Quinn estate and Stella’s boyfriend was quick to surmise that she could survive the felony if Enzo took the fall. Together, they manipulated the vulnerable young man into accepting to answer for a crime he didn’t commit. And this was because as a rich kid, he didn’t understand the gravity of what had happened.

Stella had said how he was an heir to the richest family in the country and could get away with anything, while she was a lowly pauper, the daughter of an ordinary chauffeur. That would be the first and last time Stella ever admitted to who she was. As she’d been going around claiming to be the actual heir of the Quinn family. And while they ran away, Enzo remained and was arrested.

I’m Done Being a Yes-Man Episode 8:

It didn’t help that his parents were out of the country, vacationing somewhere in Africa. Stella, boyfriend and parents took the opportunity to break into the family building and were searching for treasure. Enzo was arraigned in court and before the final hearing, Stella visited him in prison. He requested she bailed him out and to provide her with the money, he handed her some codes.

The codes were for his father’s safe, which Stella and her boyfriend had attempted severally to break into without success. While he was trying to get her to keep the codes a secret, she would dial her boyfriend to hand it over. And this was the opportunity she’d been waiting for to tell him exactly how she actually felt about him, and when she was done, she abandon him there.

Part 3: What To Expect From I’m Done Being a Yes-Man Ending

Before Stella abandoned Enzo to rot, she thanked him for the codes and informed him how she was going to spend the bottomless well of money the safe contained with the man of her dreams. And because he didn’t make bail, Enzo was convicted and sentenced to a good number of years in prison. But while Enzo had been head over heels in love with Stella…

A certain girl named Lily had been crushing over him. Funny how he couldn’t see Stella for what she was, but could surmise on his own that Lily only wanted him for gains. He understood he was an heir, which should give him an edge over all the other boys in the same high school, and therefore, didn’t want to date anybody else but the cheerleader that Stella was.

Because of this, he’d continued to play dead to every of Lily’s flirtatious approaches. He was wise where she was concerned and foolish in Stella’s case. But Lily had refused to give up on him… it would seem she understood Stella didn’t want him and waited patiently for the day he would realize it. On his way out of the court room and to prison, Enzo finally did.

And while he was full of regrets that he couldn’t see her earlier, she would believe his innocence, promise to help him get out and gifted him a talisman in a necklace. It was this talisman that helped Enzo get a second chance, as he lay dying on the prison floor. He’d sworn to love Lily better if he was reborn. But what happened when his wishes were granted?

Part 4: What You Can Learn From I’m Done Being a Yes-Man

I’m Done Being a Yes-Man holds a few lessons for high school students. Because even though second chances are rare in real life, karma is still real. The method through which karma visited Stella in this movie was when Enzo was reborn. He was given the opportunity to revenge upon his enemies, and because he’d gone back in time, it was an open cheque. He had the rare opportunity to re-write his story. We should also learn to be content with whatever our parents can afford to give us. Because Stella Hall’s downfall started after she claimed to be the actual heiress of the Quinn family, which forced Enzo’s parent’s to finally interfere.
