Part 1: My Stepbrother’s Dirty Secret Book Summary

Alice Hawthorne was an only child to a pretty mother and a mechanic father. She was the apple of her daddy’s eyes until he passed about six months ago.

Even before his passing, her mother had started seeing a certain Mr. Hawthorne and immediately her father died, she would marry him and make Alice a step daughter to the Hawthorne family.

The Hawthorne family were among the top influential families of the city. They owned a thriving automobile company and lived luxuriously. Mr. Hawthorne had lost the first Mrs. Hawthorne a few years ago and they had only one child. His name was James Hawthorne.

Transferring to the most prestigious high school in town came as a full package with becoming a Hawthorne step daughter. Preston High, was where all the rich kids from the top families went to school and now, the 17yrs old Alice was new there.

Her mother had dropped her off for registration, and she was headed to the head teacher’s office for processing when she caught the woman receiving kisses from one of the boys. He was handsome and about 17, which meant he should be in the same grade as she was.

Both out of shock and a righteous sense of judgment, Alice tried to run, but the young man had heard her and was in hot pursuit. He tried to threaten the new girl into silence, but wasn’t it a little funny that he was trying to buy good grades with his charming looks?
