Allan D’Angelo was a handsome man in his prime. He was also the second son of the D’Angelo family. The D’Angelo family was the leading family in the mafia world of Amsterdam. This was a place where the mob controlled everything. Every wealthy family had their roots in the mob, and nothing came or left without mafia involvement. The mob ruled and controlled society here.

It was in such a world that the D’Angelo family had amassed so much wealth. Because it was a mob world, everyone understood their money was illegal. But because they owned a giant share in everything, including properties and territories, they were regarded as the most influential. They were also feared, because, every rookie dreamed of one day working for the family.

Which made it that they owned the highest man power and armament. Because this was a mob world, there were set down rules. There were boundaries and allocation of territories. Territories meant that a certain area of town belonged to a certain mob family, and that meant that another family could not carry out any businesses in another’s territory without permission.

Allan D’Angelo who was not only a high ranking member of his mob group, but also one of the legitimate sons of the D’Angelo family, found himself in trouble when he went for lunch at one of the expensive restaurants, which was located within the territory of another mob group. It happened that an ordinary man had scheduled a lunch meeting at the same place.

He was coming back from using the restroom, when he bumped into the most beautiful soul he ever saw. It was love at first sight, as neither him nor her could take the eyes off of each other. He was settling into his table when to his amazement, the ordinary man produced a ring, went on his knees and proposed to the woman of his dreams.

Her name was Cynthia and she was a beautiful nurse. Even though she had anticipated it, her boyfriend’s action was surprising. And because she’d seen a man that turned on a spark in her mind, she was dumbstruck at what to say. But because they were in public and everyone was expectant, she would say yes. But what happened when she was taken hostage by the mob?

He didn’t even worry about his fiancée and Cynthia was taken hostage. Allan D’Angelo found himself on his feet at once, ordering the men to let the young lady go. Because they didn’t want to, he explained she was his fiancée and they would hand her over. But Cynthia couldn’t leave without retrieving Harry from under the table, and would force Allan to release a bullet.

Allan D’Angelo had acted on impulse when mob members from the family that owned the territory where he was having lunch at a restaurant with his men, badge in to settle a squabble. What had happened was none of his business, but Allan had come face to face with something called a kindred spirit. Something that only the exceptionally lucky could find in one lifetime. In the bid to rescue the lady, he’d shed the first blood and on an enemy territory. He’d also lied about his relationship with the lady. To cover up, he would need to make his claims true. This was uncomfortable, he was a stranger.

True Love Outclasses The Ex

Should the enemy discover he lied about the reason why he fired the first bullet, the entire D’Angelo family would be in trouble. Because they were richer, they had enemies scavenging and waiting for the slightest opportunity to disburse their ill gotten wealth. Because he needed to mitigate his loses, he would literally kidnap Cynthia, take her home and make her his fiancée as he’d claimed she was while trying to save her life. Cynthia wasn’t happy to be Kidnapped, but she would eventually find that the mafia lord was in love with her. And compared to Harry, he was more handsome, powerful and wealthy.

Chaotic Conflicts

While Allan was doing everything to cover up, his competitors were also digging up the evidence they required to put his family down. Before Allan could locate Cynthia the following morning after the accident, the enemy gang were already monitoring her activities, trying to put holes in Allan’s defenses. They would discover he lied and the next action would be to attack. They would kill, maim and attempt every possible means of proving Allan wrong, including re-kidnapping and attempting to murder Cynthia. They would make exorbitant demands, what was Allan willing to give up for her sake?
