When Darryl was young, his family home was invaded by an unrevealed masked man. The masked man had orchestrated an ambush and wiped out the legendary martial arts home of the Chase family.

Darryl escaped with his dad, Oliver Chase. Oliver, who was a strong martial artist, seemed weak at the moment of the ambush. Maybe because he was poisoned, as the movie showed him complaining about the spread of some toxins in his body.

Getting to a point of their escape, Oliver couldn’t continue the journey. He transferred his powers, the rapport techniques and the supreme token to his son and urged him to run far away.

When he was trying to send his son away, one of his trusted men, Rory, caught up with him. He was pleased to see him. However, his joy turned to disappointment when Rory stabbed him and tried to take the rapport techniques and supreme token from him.

When Rory didn’t succeed, he killed Oliver and pushed Darryl off a cliff. Years passed, and due to Darryl’s fall off the cliff, he lost his memories and turned into a dummy.

Oliver Chase, Darryl’s father, ran out with his son to protect him from the evil Uwersih. Oliver was a strong martial artist.

For his household to be invaded, his enemies had to use one of his trusted men to deceive him. Oliver was made weak and unable to fully unleash his power.

When Oliver escaped with Darryl, he quickly transferred his powers, the rapport techniques, and the supreme token to him. He pleaded with Darryl to leave him and save himself because he was too weak to continue the run.

In episode 3, Darryl, who was now known as Darin, was slowly recovering his lost memory. He had lost it after he was pushed down a cliff by his enemies. After this push, Darryl became a dummy.

His recovery started when his newfound family, the Logan martial club, was invaded by the Uwerish again.

The Uwerish had converted one of the Efulenians, Harris, to turn against his people. He even killed some of his people with the aid, power and techniques he learnt from the Uwerish.

Robyn, the leader of the Logan martial club, was furious at this act of Harris. How could he suddenly turn and gravely betray his people?

Harris paid her little club a visit. Also, he challenged her to a martial combat in The Rise of a Forgotten Hero Chinese drama.

The Rise of a Forgotten Hero vertical movie episode 10 was where Darryl got back all his memories and remembered some rapport techniques he had practised. He was determined to protect his family from the Uwerish and Harris’ invasion.

Darryl was able to block Harris’ supreme punches as he faced him. Harris, who has always thought of Darryl as a dummy, was surprised to see him fight like a true martial artist.

Harris refused to accept the fact that a man like Darryl could bring him down. This made him try to play emotional tricks on Darryl, but that didn’t work. He reminded Darryl of the fact that he won against Darryl’s wife, Robyn, but Darryl ignored him.

With a blow to the stomach of Harris, Darryl almost won the fight against Harris.
