Part 1: What Lies Beneath The Cursed Alpha’s Mate Story?

The Cursed Alpha’s Mate story reveals Shayla’s life. Shayla was a young virgin, so pure and innocent. She had a boyfriend named Dean. She had kept her virginity for him as she waited for her right time.

One day, she made up her mind that it was time. She would give herself to Dean and allow him to claim her virginity.

On that day, she caught Dean pants down with Davina, a lady she knows nothing about.

When Shayla confronted Dean, he wasn’t remorseful, and Davina, the lady he cheated with, made mockery of Shayla. Afraid, shy and hurt by the words that Dean and Davina lashed at her, Shayla ended things with Dean and ran into the woods.

What Shayla didn’t know was that Dean never loved her. In fact, he has been cheating on her with Davina for a long time.

Also, Shayla didn’t know that Dean was a wolf and Davina was a powerful witch. Davina could transform herself to play Nikki, Shayla’s best friend.

In other words, she was two persons: one, Davina the witch, and two, Nikki, Shayla’s pretend best friend. Davina was playing Nikki to keep Shayla close so she could monitor and keep her far apart from Mal Haywood.

In The Cursed Alpha’s Mate story, Mal Haywood is the Alpha of the Tamarack pack. He’s the werewolf that Davina placed a curse on.

To break that curse, he needs his mate, Shayla. Mal needs to mark and claim Shayla, but Davina would never let that happen.

This was why she made Dean keep Shayla as his girlfriend.

It took Davina a lot for her curse on Mal to work out. So, she would do everything to prevent the curse from breaking.

How long can she keep Shayla and Mal apart? Will her curse be broken eventually?

Part 2: The Faces Behind the Magic of The Cursed Alpha’s Mate Story

Like I said before, only incredible casts tend to bring out their best to make incredible movies. The Cursed Alpha’s Mate cast were awesome in bringing their A-games to make this movie an interesting one to watch.

Meet some of the cast and the characters they played here:

Maria Barseghian as Shayla Santos

Maria Barseghian played the role of Shayla. She’s the little human virgin who got mated to the Tamarack pack’s Alpha.

In the movie, her innocence was felt from her every action. She was young, naive and easily betrayed. Meeting Mal changed her.

Maria, the Cursed Alpha’s Mate cast member that played this role, recently graduated from the University of Southern California. She studied acting and film there.

Some of her other movies are The Virgin’s Bucket List, Cuddly Toys, Fated to the Alpha and Fatal Attraction: The Hybrid Princess.

Kiki Frags as Mal Haywood

Meet the handsome bad boy in this movie, Mal Haywood. This character was brought to life by Kiki Frags.

Frags acted as the strong alpha who’s on a journey to find love and break his curse. Apart from this, he has an evil queen to defeat; if not, he could lose all he ever achieved.

Some of Kiki Frags’ movies are Double Life of My Military Man, Forget Me Not: Omega’s Return and Kidnapped by the Devil.

Mair Mulroney as Davina

Evil queen Davina was played by the Cursed Alpha’s Mate cast member, Mair Mulroney. She was Dean’s woman and controller.

In the movie, she had one goal, which was to see Mal suffer and perish, but it failed.

Mair is known professionally as ThatGirlMair. She’s an award-winning American actress, screenwriter, producer, musician and comedian.

She’s known for Sands of Fate: A Star Wars Story, Placid Park, Good Werks and Dhar Mann.

Dallas Schaefer as Dean

A boyfriend that we pray not to have is Dean. This character was played by The Cursed Alpha’s Mate actor, Dallas Schaefer.

Dean never loved Shayla. He was with her because he had to make his mistress proud. He was bound to a witch’s call.

Dallas in The Cursed Alpha’s Mate is known for his incredible performances in Moon River, Daisy Jones & The Six, Rap Sh!t and The Young and The Restless.

The Cursed Alpha’s Mate Episode 2

In The Cursed Alpha’s Mate episode 2, Shayla was betrayed by her boyfriend, Dean. She had just caught him making out with another woman, Davina.

Dean had no shame or remorse about what he had done. The woman with him, Davina, is kind of a bully. She had dragged Shayla by her hair and called her a little girl playing dress.

When Shayla couldn’t take Dean and his new woman’s insult, she ran off into the woods. There, she met a strange man, Mal, with a tattoo on his chest.

As Shayla ponders who the man could be, he informs her that she’s his mate. Shayla wasn’t having it. She couldn’t possibly fall into the hands of another annoying man after Dean.

She escaped from Mal only to be attacked by a white wolf.

Who will save her?

The Cursed Alpha’s Mate Episode 4

Shayla was down. Her day has been a total mess. To cheer her up, her best friend Nikki took her to a bar. The spoiler here is Shayla followed her best friend with hopes of being in a safe hand, but Nikki was Davina.

There was never a person called Nikki. It was all Davina, a witch who could take on the form of any person she chooses.

So, we can say that in The Cursed Alpha’s Mate episode 4, Davina took Shayla to that bar. Davina’s intention was to make Shayla lose her virginity to some rugged man at that bar.

This was because if Shayla lost her virginity to someone apart from Mal, her mate, it would seal Davina’s curse on Mal. It would have happened just as Davina wanted. However, it didn’t go as she planned.

Mal traced Shayla to the bar that she was at. He came for her.

The Cursed Alpha’s Mate Episode 7

In The Cursed Alpha’s Mate episode 7, Davina had held Mal with a spell. He forgot his main goal of coming to the bar. He was now dining with his enemy, Davina, in Nikki’s skin.

When he got a hold of himself, he heard Shayla scream for help. Shayla was about to be hurt by some wolves who wanted to have a taste of her, as they claimed.

Mal rushed to Shayla’s aid. When he got there, Shayla was about to be bitten. He jumped in and saved her. He dealt with those trying to hurt her and made them beg for their lives.

Shayla was confused to see Mal come to her rescue. A few minutes ago, he had chosen Nikki over her; now he’s here marking his territory.

Shayla appreciates Mal’s help, but she thinks that he’s toying with her emotions.

Someone please tell her that Mal was under a spell before!

Conclusions 

The Cursed Alpha’s Mate storyline is something else. I’ve watched a lot of ReelShort movies, but this storyline is different. The movie is intriguing, thrilling and goosebumps-inducing.

In the movie, prepare to meet werewolves, humans and witches in one space. The thrillers and cliffhangers with each episode in the movie are amazing.

The leads in the drama, Shayla and Mal, played the roles of a human and a wolf destined to be mates. Shayla alone can sever the curse holding her mate, Mal the alpha.

But then comes in the curse placer, a witch who will stop at nothing in fulfilling her desires. The witch has a weapon; she can be herself and transform into one of the people that Shayla holds dearest. Shayla and Mal have their weapon: love.

Can love conquer it all and help them win over the witch?
