Part 1: The Where The Light Enters Storyline Twist Explained

Years ago, Annie Grant was born full of love and affection. She was adored by her parents, Jame and Sophia. Her older brother also cherished her so much. Everything that she did was well-appreciated. Not until Vivian Linwood came into their lives that Annie’s peaceful life ruined.

Taken in by the Grants with open arms, Vivian felt like she was one step away from the million-dollar fortune. Since she was rescued from a human trafficking syndicate, everyone took pity on her. As their foster daughter, Vivian was well-loved. They did not want her to feel the trauma again and so gave her their full attention.

However, they had no idea what kind of person Vivian was. She mastered the plan of playing innocent. Her fragile façade made everyone think that she deserved to be looked after now and then. While they saw her as a miracle, Annie was the only one who could notice her manipulative nature.

But as Annie tried to expose Vivian’s hideous shenanigans, her family slowly turned against her. They believed that she was just jealous of Vivian. 2.1 Annie Grant    

Annie Grant was a kind-hearted and soft-spoken woman. Once known to be the sole heiress of the Grant family, she decided to live a new life away from the fame and fortune. When she felt unseen and neglected by the people she trusted the most, she went to a far mountain village. She became a teacher who devoted her time to the less fortunate community.

The pain that her adoptive sister caused her gave her the urge to move away from her awful past. She also let go of the love she had for her first love, Max. To heal from the heartache, she became a volunteer and met Marcus. The reconnection she had with him opened her doors to new love. Until she embraced the kind of life she truly deserved.

2.2 Max Hunter 

Max Hunter was the former fiancé of Annie. He came from a well-off family and was known for his striking looks. He previously fell in love with her and promised to give her the world. Yet the more he treated her right, the more Vivian felt jealous. Vivian thought that he could be a good father to her child.

His mind was poisoned by Vivian. He was seduced and held responsible for taking care of Daisy. It became the start of his breakup with Annie. Max allowed himself to be drawn to Vivian until the engagement was finally cancelled. He might have loved Annie for years, but his indecisiveness and lack of dignity led him to lose her.  

2.3 Marcus Chandler  

Marcus Chandler was a former school mate of Annie. He met her during the speech competition and was one of her hardest opponents. But little did she know, he developed a little crush towards her. He silently admired her from afar and could not come close because Max was always there.

Aside from being good-looking, he was smart and humble. He also possessed a responsible nature, which Annie truly admired in him. They reunited when Annie volunteered for a teaching job in a remote mountain village. Marcus moved there with her and became a way for her to finally move on from her painful past.

2.4 Vivian Linwood 

Vivian Linwood was the main antagonist in the ReelShort movie, Where the Light Enters. This ambitious woman was the adopted foster daughter of the Grants. Wearing a mask of kindness and innocence, she slowly poisoned the minds of everyone. She made them hate Annie. Her main agenda? Well, she wanted to kick Annie out of the mansion.

After being rescued, she used her experience to make everyone feel pity and gain sympathy. Until she grew up and had a child named Daisy. To fully hurt Anie, she seduced Max and tried to steal him from her. Indeed, her plan worked as Annie went away and lived a new life in the mountains. Later on, she paid the price for fooling everyone around.

2.5 James and Sophia Grant

James and Sophia Grant were the parents of Annie. They loved her so much but not until they adopted Vivian. Kind and considerate, they welcomed Vivian with open arms. However, they became emotionally blind and put their attention mostly on Vivian. Over the years, they neglected Annie and made her feel that she no longer belong to the family.

But when the truth came out, they realized what they just lost. Being easily swayed by Vivian’s lies was their biggest mistake. They wanted to get Annie back but it was too late. The pain they caused her was something she could not forget. This couple only hoped for the best, that someday they could see Annie again.

Annie talked to the Hunter family and said that she would no longer marry Max. But Max was persistent, convincing her to change her mind. He said he could not lose her, that she loved her so much. However, Annie was no longer buying his sweet words. For her, what she saw was enough to cut ties with him.

3.3 Episode 10

During her birthday, Annie got an invitation from her mom that she had to go home for a gathering. She thought that they already realized her worth. So, in no time, she drove back to the mansion and saw a grand celebration. However, it was not prepared for her but for Daisy. No one remembered that it was her birthday which hurt her more.
