Part 1. Embark Inside The High Society Movie Synopsis

For all of her life, Adele was in survival mode. Living in poverty, all she did was to find a job in the streets and earn money. As an orphan, she struggled to survive on her own. Without a family to turn to, she had one friend, Clarissa, whom she treasured the most. However, when she grew up into a young lady, she was chased by a loan shark named Nino.

Drowning in debt, Adele’s life was threatened. If she could not pay on time, Nino would kill her and Clarissa, who was currently ill. She could not lose her best friend, and so, she had to find a way out of that problem, no matter what. One day, as she was cleaning a customer’s shoe, she saw a photo of Duke Cesare Buonaparte in a newspaper.

In her mind, if only she could ask for help from that wealthy man, then her problems would be all gone. To her surprise, her customer’s face was revealed, and it was indeed Cesare. She heard that he was looking for a young woman who could pose as his long-lost little sister. It was his way to avoid Lucrezia by marrying him.

Without thinking twice, Adele volunteered herself. Yet she was refused, as he was only considering pretty girls since he looked like a boy. He was shocked when she revealed herself by pouring a pail of water on her body. Her long, silky hair fell down her shoulders with her nice body underneath her wet clothes.

Cesare could not believe what he saw and eventually gave her the job. He instructed her to meet him at his place the next day. However, something horrible happened. After watching High Society, we are reminded of how love grows in the most significant manner. At first, they were two different people who had life agendas and wanted to meet. Cesare aimed to escape his marriage with Lucrezia, while Adele wanted to get out of danger. Knowing they did not know each other personally, they still went on with their deal.  

This only goes to show that Adele and Cesare trusted each other amidst the problems. Their feelings developed while they both tried to understand where they were both coming from. In reality, once a couple have genuine trust, understanding will follow. Because making careless judgments is not good. Instead, it is about seeing the real thing beneath the surface.
