With that, modern warfare has never been the same. After the series of victories, a sudden massive base attack took place. It shattered everything, including the death of his best friend, Logan.

His one last promise was to protect their innovative research. Wesley could not let their dream die, knowing that Logan was a big contributor to that invention. However, right after the funeral, he was arrested for being a traitor. While he suffered the consequences that he did not cause, tech mogul Jeffrey Cunningham offered him a deal.

For three years, he had to marry his sole daughter, Calista, while he ran his empire as the acting CEO. In exchange, he would be freed and leave prison as soon as possible. Thinking it would be the only way to get out of that awful situation, he did not think twice about accepting it. Indeed, he made Cunningham Tech successful.

But the only thing that Wesley could not afford to take was the cruelty that he received from Calista. For three years, he never felt love nor appreciated by her.
